My graduate thesis explores the growing threat of AI-generated deepfake videos in corporate communication and their potential impact on investor trust. As synthetic media becomes increasingly sophisticated, organizations face new reputational risks when fabricated executive messages circulate online. This research examines how companies should respond to such crises and evaluates whether proactive communication strategies are more effective than reactive responses in maintaining investor confidence. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines analysis of real deepfake incidents with investor perception surveys, the study offers insights into how organizations can protect credibility and navigate emerging risks in the digital information environment.

As part of my graduate practicum course at NYU, I worked with a team to develop a strategic communications and growth plan for Swing U, the virtual jazz education platform created by Seton Hawkins at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Our client sought to expand beyond individual learners and grow enrollment following the post-pandemic plateau in participation. The project focused on identifying new audiences, developing thought leadership opportunities, and creating scalable partnership strategies with university retiree organizations across the United States. Through research, messaging development, and campaign design, our team created a comprehensive communications plan aimed at positioning Swing U as a leader in virtual lifelong learning for older adults while supporting sustainable program growth.

This project analyzes the corporate communication and reputation management challenges faced by BP following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, one of the most devastating environmental disasters in modern history. The case study evaluates how delayed response, inconsistent messaging, and lack of transparency intensified public backlash and damaged corporate credibility. Through this analysis, I examine the role of crisis communication, media relations, and leadership messaging in shaping public perception during high-stakes corporate crises, while highlighting key lessons for organizations on the importance of proactive crisis planning, transparency, and empathetic stakeholder engagement.

This project presents a comprehensive social media strategy developed to strengthen the digital presence and audience engagement of AMC Theatres, one of the world’s leading cinema exhibition companies. The plan analyzes the brand’s current social media performance, competitive landscape, and audience segments to identify key opportunities for growth. It proposes targeted content strategies, interactive campaigns, and community management tactics designed to increase engagement among Gen Z and millennial audiences, strengthen brand positioning as an experience-driven theater chain, and drive growth in AMC’s loyalty program. Through data-driven insights and creative digital storytelling, the strategy demonstrates how social media can enhance the theatrical experience and build stronger connections between audiences and cinema culture.

This project presents a strategic public affairs campaign designed to address the growing fentanyl crisis in the United States through a coordinated public opinion initiative. Developed as part of a public affairs course at NYU SPS, the campaign examines how misinformation, stigma, and fragmented narratives have complicated public understanding of fentanyl-related deaths. The plan proposes a communication strategy that reframes the issue from isolated tragedies to a preventable public health emergency, using storytelling, community engagement, and evidence-based education to drive awareness and behavioral change. By targeting parents of teens and young adults as well as community opinion leaders, the campaign aims to empower communities with practical prevention tools and build broader public support for policies and initiatives that can reduce fentanyl poisoning and save lives.

This project presents a strategic public relations and brand revitalization plan for Starbucks, focused on strengthening the brand’s connection with its communities through storytelling and community-centered innovation. The project explores how Starbucks can reinforce its brand identity by highlighting authentic stories, fostering local engagement, and creating meaningful experiences that resonate with modern consumers. The strategy combines research, audience insights, and creative communication initiatives designed to enhance brand relevance, deepen customer loyalty, and reinforce Starbucks’ position as a cultural and community hub.
This project presents a strategic public relations campaign developed for Dove, focusing on strengthening the brand’s commitment to real beauty, inclusivity, and self-confidence. The campaign, titled “Dear Younger Me,” invites individuals to reflect on their personal journeys of growth and self-acceptance by sharing letters to their younger selves. Through authentic storytelling, influencer collaborations, media outreach, and social media engagement, the strategy aims to spark meaningful conversations around body positivity and challenge traditional beauty standards. By leveraging user-generated content and community participation, the campaign seeks to deepen emotional connections with consumers while reinforcing Dove’s position as a leader in promoting inclusive beauty.

This thesis explores the complex ecosystem of the dark web, examining its role in enabling anonymity, facilitating illicit activity, and challenging traditional models of regulation and cybersecurity. The research analyzes how encrypted networks, cryptocurrency transactions, and decentralized platforms have reshaped the dynamics of digital risk, creating new implications for law enforcement, corporate security, and public policy. By evaluating both the technological architecture and the socio-economic drivers behind dark web marketplaces, the study highlights the tension between privacy rights and global security concerns. The project offers strategic insights into how institutions, corporations, and policymakers can better understand, monitor, and respond to emerging threats within hidden digital environments.

A few seconds of acid can destroy a lifetime. Acid attacks are among the most violent crimes committed against women, leaving victims permanently scarred both physically and emotionally. These attacks are often motivated by rejection, revenge, or patriarchal attitudes that treat women as objects rather than individuals with autonomy.
In India, acid attacks continue to highlight deep-rooted gender inequalities and societal issues that allow such crimes to persist. This research explores the causes, consequences, and realities of acid attacks while emphasizing the urgent need for awareness, legal reform, and societal change.
